Mkiller:
Hi GM-Balinor, how are you?
Balinor:
Fine, thanks, Mkiller!

Mkiller:
Today I'm going to make an interview with you! Are you ready?
Balinor:
Sure!

Mkiller:
So, Let's start! xD

Mkiller:
What is your job in CipSoft?
Balinor:
I work as a Product Manager at CipSoft. By the way, there are two Product Managers working on each game.

Mkiller:
How your work day looks like?
Balinor:
Basically my job is to plan the updates, coordinate the different teams (Programming, Content, Graphics, Support, Community Management & Technical department) and to take care that the game servers are up and running. I also do a lot of work on the business side and set up partnerships, like with Indosat.

Mkiller:
How you spend your time in CipSoft?
Balinor:
Most of my working time is split up in meetings, reading and writing emails and planning for the next features.

Mkiller:
From when and you became CipSoft member?
Balinor:
I joined CipSoft in February 2007 and have been working on TibiaME since then.

Mkiller:
how you became CipSoft member?
Balinor:
How did I become a CipSoft member? Well, I noticed the open job description and had always wanted to work in the games industry, applied for the job and luckily was taken.

Mkiller:
How do you like your job in CipSoft?
Balinor:
I really love my job and cannot think of something else I would rather do. The whole team is really dedicated on making the best mobile MMO out there!

Mkiller:
Who your best friend there?
Balinor:
I really like everybody at the company and we also do a lot of stuff in our free time, like playing Magic or doing sports.

Mkiller:
As you the product manager of TibiaME, Who is the product manager of Tibia (PC game)?
Balinor:
As I mentioned earlier, each game has two Product Managers. At Tibia there are actually even three at the moment: Guido, Craban and Skyrr.

Mkiller:
What is the plans on 2011 for TibiaME? Going to make new big updates?
When the Java HiRes client? There any plan for S60v2 HiRes client?
Balinor:
As you know the spring update is getting closer and we will be introducing the all new Attributes & Skill system. Actually, the planned changes are so many that we already call it TibiaME 2.0. We are completely rebalancing the content. There are big changes coming with the equipment, as they will require a certain Defense Attribute level. And the monsters will have really big changes too: They can have different walk speeds, EP will change, the difficulty of the monsters will change, some will be using skills and spells and their loot will be adjusted to fit all the mentioned changes.
Java HighRes is not a topic at the moment, the same as S60v2 HighRes. After the spring update we will start the new Season – and how time flies... it will be Season number 9 already! It will feature some Episodes again, we have not decided on any details yet though. And then it's time for the autumn update – nothing set for that update yet, so keep coming up with ideas everybody! As you know we listen to the community's feedback and many proposals of players have already made it into the game.

Mkiller:
Does SMS Payments will be for worldwide? And What CipSoft doing with the premium's money which getting by players? And premium is only the way to make CipSoft alive? How much income you getting from TibiaME?
Balinor:
Integrating new Payment methods will have a high priority this year. Currently there are no partners that can offer reliable worldwide SMS payment. But we are working on new things in this area. At the moment the Premium money is used to pay bills. So we have to pay our team of programmers, graphic artists, content designers, support staff, etc. and of course there are a lot of servers out there. TibiaME is not really in the profit zone yet :( You can help us by spreading the word about our game and getting your friends to play.

Mkiller:
How many Cip-members there?
Balinor:
Currently we are about 50 people at CipSoft.

Mkiller:
Can you give me list of all Cip-members?
Balinor:
I'm afraid I cannot pass on a list with names, due to company policies. But there is a great picture with most of us to be seen on our website.
Also there is a video on Youtube where you can see our lovely headquarters.

Mkiller:
What you doing in your normal day? Out of Office.., Do you have character ingame as a player? What you interested in, what you doing in your spare time, in home?
Balinor:
I try to spend as much time as I can with my little boy and see him grow up. Also I love to try out new board games or new games in general. I also play a lot of TibiaME – I am on world 23, but will keep my character name secret. :)

Mkiller:
What do you think about TibiaME fansites in 2010-2011? And why?
Balinor:
I think the fansites have made a great step forward and are really a great source of information for all players. We regularly check all fansites and we are convinced that they will play a more and more important role in the future. Each site is great in its own way.

Shark:
Why TibiaME now very boring?
Balinor:
With the coming spring update we are going to introduce a lot of new features to make the game more fun and challenging.

Shark:
Why slow updates?
Balinor:
Updates need to be planned, programmed, tested and published. With 14 updates every year TibiaME actually offers a lot compared to other games.

Shark:
When TibiaME be closed?
Balinor:
No reason to close TibiaME. ;)

Shark:
Any new plans of making new mobile MMORPG game? As now there are many games with old myths, maybe something about future? Robots alians and etc?
Balinor:
Our team is currently fully engaged with TibiaME and we have still got so many ideas for it. At CipSoft we are currently working on a browser based game called FictionFighters though. It's going to be an interactive comic where you can play adventures and fight against enemies. Everything that happens is shown in comic style. You can take a look at it here: www.fictionfighters.com

Mkiller:
10. Is the reports of autohunt and spam tools helped to solve spam problem ingame? And how much players in whole TibiaME worlds?
Balinor:
Yes, every report about tools and methods to autohunt or spam help us to prevent them. In general we are always glad when we get some feedback or bug reports from you – it really helps us to fix things faster.

Mkiller:
How much active players per day?
Balinor:
Currently there are about 50,000 active players in TibiaME, spread over 30 game worlds.

Shark:
Now TibiaME have many clients for many phones like Symbian, Android, Blackberry OS. Is there any plans to make TibiaME client available for PC operating systems like for Windows, Linux, Mac OS?
Balinor:
We are currently working on the Android client. As soon as it has been published, we will be looking at other platforms. However, there are no concrete plans for other platforms yet.

Mkiller:
TibiaME now have really much players from Asian continent, why so much players playing from there? And why not make exact server (Gameworlds) for Asians, and other worlds for English speaking players?
Balinor:
Asian countries have been pioneering the mobile technology for years and had really cheap mobile data rates very early. That's why mobile gaming picked up very fast there. We have also noticed that there is a language barrier coming up in the game and are looking into it. At the same time we think it is really cool to play with people from all over the world, not just from your country. But we are going to try and improve the situation.

Mkiller:
Thank You GM-Balinor for your time! Wish you enjoyed the interview as we enjoyed it! xD
